I'd like to say sorry for not keeping up with the blog. I have a ton of things going on right now, so I'll make this quick. I still don't have internet, but am using Dave's folks computer.
Ryan is doing much better, and is in physical therapy. He finally got on crutches a couple of days ago. I guess they expected him to be on them a bit sooner, but he is still in a little bit of pain. He is in the comfort of his own home, and will continue to do therapy with the help of family. I'd like to thank all our friends, and family for helping out in this situation. Ryan has told me all the kind things everyone has done, and I am truly appreciative.
I did my first racing in WI this past weekend. A road race called the Circuit of Sauk in Reedsburg. It was only 30 miles, and two times around the lap. I rode with the pack the most of the first lap, and then just opened my legs up on the last climb of the circuit to discover when I looked back we were only 4. So, we rolled it and I messed up the sprint. I didn't quite know where the line was at. We were all rotating just fine and then all the sudden no one would come around me. As soon as I realized it was time to sprint Chris Wentworth got the jump on me for the win. I then proceeded to jump in the Men's 3 race, which I got dropped from on the first climb of the circuit. It was a bit steep and long. That's okay, it's all miles. The next day was the Willy Street Crit in downtown Madison. Again three of us got away and lapped the field, I got 2nd behind a Dairy Land gal.
Things are settling down nicely. We still only need to take a few things over to our place and we will be moved in completely. I've been riding a bit since last week, more than I ever have. I am so happy here, and I can finally breath. This is just what I needed. Thank you Dave for being the great man that you are. I love you.
Last but not least, I want to thank everyone for the Birthday wishes today. I took Dave half way to work today so he could get a ride in. Then I went back to our place but forgot my phone, and when I came back there were all sorts of messages. Sorry for missing all your calls.
Geezzzee, I'm still working on the photos. Maybe tomorrow if you suckas are lucky! You feelin' lucky today? I leave Friday for a 2 week stint of racing. Then to Nature Valley.
