Get that man a beer!

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, but I was pretty dissapointed with myself after the Tour de Georgia. Things could not have gone worse. I spent the first two days pedaling with one leg. After an "impressive" TT (81st or something) I caught a head cold. The next two days I spent with Alejandro off the back, 30 minutes down on the leaders. Let me tell you those were a couple of tough stages for me. I wanted to quit so many times, but also wanted to finish The Tour de Georgia.

The last day I knew things were bad while riding at 20k and hour. I was suffering. I spent the next two hours at the back of the pack dangling. Finally, on the only real climb of the day, I could no longer pedal and decided to get off and call it quits.

I'm still upset with myself, but if you fall down seven times you have to get up eight. I know that sounds pretty cheesy, heard it on a Gatorade commercial. My next race is the Tour of the Gila. Wish me luck, for this race has been kind to me the last couple of years.

Blick out!
