This WAS mine and Dave's home in Oconomowoc, WI. I had just settled in for a long stay. Monday afternoon Dave called me while I was in Lancaster, PA and told me all I had owned was now gone. I don't think anyone knows what to do in a situation like this. I quickly realized with Dave's upbeat attitude and support that there is nothing I can do. I'm just extremely fortunate that Dave & I were not there. Material things can be replaced, and the things that were priceless to me are in my memory, and that can't be taken away. Fortunately Jeremy H-K my director was more than supportive and changed my ticket to head home so I could deal with all of this. So, thanks a ton Jeremy. I need to be here because my mind would not be on racing if I stayed. So, I will not be at Philly. I just want to wish my team the best of luck. I'll be thinking about you all. Also, thanks to all my friends and family for thier support. It's times like this when people's true colors show. So basically all I have to my name is a bag of clothes, 3 bikes, and a washer and dryer (thank goodness) for all thoes clothes that I now own. We still don't know anything about why the fire started. I think something a bit sketchy was going on and that's why we have been kept in the dark. The house has been deemd a total loss, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to scavenge through my stuff being it was all on the 2nd level. I think most of the floor fell through to the bottom level. - Candice out.
The house burning....
....and burning.....
....hold on, not quite done yet....

....and done!!!

....and done!!!
